The brand new single, ‘This Feels Like Home’, showcases the exciting new sound she drapes her voice across this time. Ruby Buah
Posted on February 18, 2011 | No CommentsIn 2009, Ruby Buah took a bold step by leaving behind spread sheets and financial statements for metals and fabrics. Ruby went from Finance to Fashion! It all started a few years back when she worked as a Financial Analyst at Coca Cola in Atlanta, Georgia. Ruby, seeking a creative outlet started exploring different forms of art in her spare time. What started as a hobby in jewelry-making quickly became a profitable business. Fastforward 3 years later, she is in New York studying design at the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology and parlaying her experience in finance into running her business. To no surprise, she has built on her jewelry line by adding an equally exciting clutch purse line. Bringing it all full circle, her cosmopolitan chic jewelry line is reminiscent of her experiences in different parts of the world while her handbag line pays homage to her home country, Ghana. From the humble beginnings of a kitchen table, Ruby is honored to share © Kua Designs. -

Her Welsh mother was an accomplished singer, and her father, an Ashanti naval officer, is a gifted guitarist. Rhian started playing piano at the age of nine and picked up guitar soon after and before long, a budding singer songwriter. The gifted songstress, musician and writer co-produced her debut album with Grammy Award-winning producers Bob Power (Chaka Khan, A Tribe Called Quest) and James Poyser (Lauryn Hill, D’Angelo). The album’s sound was a striking collection of moving songs, passionate melodies and rich production. All fused together underneath Rhian’s velvety and captivating voice which drew comparisons to many classic soul greats including Sade and Phyllis Hyman. In 2004, Gold Coast was released...
